Administrative Assistant
in Topeka, Kansas
We are a compassionate, patient-centered agency, dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to patients and families. We’re looking for a friendly, organized Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our office and help keep daily operations running smoothly.

As an Administrative Assistant, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:
- Greet patients, families, and visitors with professionalism and compassion
- Answer and direct phone calls; take accurate messages and ensure timely communication
- Facilitates new hire orientation by organizing materials, assisting with onboarding paperwork, providing a general overview of systems and resources, taking employee photos, creating name badges, distributing t-shirts, and coordinating the drug screening process
- Maintains and regularly updates the telephone extension list
- Maintains monthly office supply inventory and submits the list to the supervisor
- Assists with compliance tracking and documentation for employee files and agency standards
- Manage front desk operations, including mail, faxes, and deliveries
- Assist with patient intake and verify insurance information as needed
- Schedule appointments and coordinate with clinical and administrative staff
- Maintain office supplies and support daily clerical and administrative tasks
- Ensure all patient information is handled in compliance with HIPAA regulations
A few must-haves for our Administrative Assistant:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1+ year of experience in reception, customer service, or office administration (healthcare or hospice experience preferred).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and office equipment (phones, copier, fax, scanner).
- Compassionate and professional demeanor with strong attention to detail.
- Valid Kansas driver’s license or Kansas State ID, auto insurance and transportation
