Job Description:
The CPG Marketing Director is critical to driving the success of the Asian Foods category across multiple global markets. You will play a key part in shaping category strategy, product innovation, and go-to-market initiatives, ensuring alignment with consumer needs and business objectives. By leveraging data, market insights, and cross-functional collaboration, you will lead efforts to optimize product offerings, maximize profitability, and support sustainable growth across diverse retail, food service, and club channels. Your leadership will be instrumental in delivering measurable results and driving business performance.
• Develop and execute short- and long-term category strategies for Asian Foods across US, Canada, and Europe, covering Club, Retail, and Food Service channels.
• Create and manage a multi-year roadmap to drive category growth, profitability, and strong product positioning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, SCM, R&D, Operations) to align on product innovation, distribution strategies, and address any product challenges.
• Lead the annual marketing plan, leveraging consumer insights, market trends, and buying behaviors to drive results.
• Monitor product lifecycle and make data-driven recommendations for adjustments based on sales performance, customer feedback, and competitive analysis.
• Partner with teams to ensure operational infrastructure supports product development and category strategy.
• Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to inform product decisions.
• Build and maintain performance dashboards to track category metrics (volume, profit) and support Sales with data-driven narratives.
• Lead quarterly business reviews for Leadership, presenting key performance insights and growth strategies.
• Own and manage P&L targets across categories and channels.
Qualifications:
• Bilingual in Korean and English required
• 15+ years of experience in Product Innovation Marketing, with a strong background in the CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) sector, preferably within the food industry
• 5+ years in a senior leadership role, such as Marketing Director or Senior Brand Manager
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 – Excel, PowerPoint
• Experience with IRI, Nielsen, Spins data analysis
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with strong presentation abilities
• Willingness to travel as needed
