We are actively recruiting judicial law clerks for an associate position with our dynamic Employment Litigation Group in any of its Northern California offices (San Francisco, Sacramento and Silicon Valley). The role involves working on pre‑litigation matters, high profile single plaintiff employment cases, systemic discrimination and wage and hour class actions, and Private Attorney General Act (PAGA) representative actions; responding to administrative charges; counseling clients on a wide variety of employment issues; and taking an active role in handling cutting edge legal matters. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, creative, and practical, and should also have outstanding interpersonal skills, exceptional writing skills, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team. This position offers the opportunity to assume significant responsibility, work directly with corporate clients, manage complex cases, take and defend depositions, make court appearances at important hearings, argue motions, handle mediations, and other related work typically handled by mid‑level associates.

The expected salary range for this position is between $260,000 and $310,000. Orrick is committed to providing a comprehensive, competitive, and thoughtful total compensation package to our attorneys and staff, wherever they work. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job‑related factors that may include, but are not limited to, qualifications, relevant experience or education, particular skills or expertise, geography. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary merit bonus, which would be determined by Firm and individual performance.
