Advanced EMT/Paramedic - Emergency Department Transport Specialist

Join our dynamic Emergency Department team at a leading healthcare facility in Virginia as an Advanced EMT/Paramedic Transport Specialist. In this critical role, you'll provide essential patient care while working alongside skilled medical professionals in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality direct patient care under licensed practitioner supervision
• Perform specialized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within scope of practice
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide comfort care
• Conduct safe patient transport throughout the facility
• Maintain medical equipment and supply inventory
• Document patient care data and observations accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards

Required Qualifications:

• Current Virginia certification as EMT-Advanced, EMT-Intermediate, or EMT-Paramedic
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Physical ability to assist with patient movement and transport

Preferred Qualifications:

• One year EMT-Advanced, EMT-Intermediate or Paramedic experience
• National Registry certification
• PALS, PHTLS/BTLS, and NRP certifications
• Previous hospital or emergency department experience
