This travel Registered Nurse position in Interventional Radiology requires a minimum of two years of experience and involves a mix of inpatient and outpatient care. Responsibilities:
- Providing nursing care in inpatient and outpatient Interventional Radiology settings (50/50 split).
- Administering medications (including chemotherapy).
- Performing procedures such as Y-90, chemo-embolizations, uterine ablations, and managing GI bleeds.
- Managing vascular access devices (Port-A-Cath, central lines, triple lumen catheters).
- Administering TPA and blood/blood products.
- Managing drains and performing vein sampling.
- Providing procedural sedation.
- Patient assessment and monitoring.
- Documentation in EPIC.
- Medication management using Pyxis.
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.
- Responding to on-call requests (once a week overnight, every 5th or 6th weekend, 30-minute response time).
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse license in Washington state.
- Minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Proficiency in medication administration, including chemotherapy delivery.
- Experience with various procedures: Y-90, chemo-embolizations, uterine ablations, GI bleed management, central line insertion, Port-A-Cath access, triple lumen catheter management, TPA administration, vein sampling, and procedural sedation.
- Skill in managing drains, blood/blood product administration.
- Proficient in using EPIC and Pyxis systems.
