Job Description

Sanborn. Matrix Imaging Solutions. Mail Insert Operator. $17 - $20/hour.

The Insert Operator is responsible for day-to-day set-up, maintenance, and operation of the inserting equipment and various other mail inserting equipment in support of production requirements. Duties include reviewing instructions, verifying correct components, preforming quality checks, meeting daily production goals, etc. All Inserter Operators will be cross trained on multiple pieces of equipment (inserters, stampers, meter bases, inkjets, etc.). Operators may be required to take on any additional tasks as deemed necessary by the Supervisor on duty.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Reviewing, understanding, and following job instructions including;
• Verifying correct components
• Proper machine set-up
• Daily machine maintenance
• Machine operation
• Performing quality inspections on all print jobs to ensure accuracy
• Traying mail in preparation for USPS verification and entry
• Meeting production goals
• Additional responsibilities/duties as assigned

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Previous experience in set-up and operation of mail inserting equipment preferred
• Strong attention to detail
• Focus on production of high-quality output
• Basic mechanical skill required; advanced mechanical skill preferred
• Must be a team player and possess an adaptable work style to learn and complete additional duties and operate equipment as needed
• Positive, productive, and collaborative communication skills

Schedule Requirements:

This position is for First Shift (6:00 am -2:30 pm); second shift (2:00-10:30 pm) and third shift (10 pm-6:30 am)

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for an entire 8hr shift
• Must be able to regularly lift up to 25lbs; occasionally lift up to 50lbs
• Must be able to bend, squat, reach, push, and pull with frequency
