Title: SQL Database Administrator (Remote)
Contract Type: Long-Term Contract
Location: 100% Remote
Rate: $ 60 - 65/hr
Administer, monitor, and maintain SQL Server databases in production and non-production environments.
Perform database upgrades, migrations, and consolidations across multiple platforms.
Implement backup, recovery, high availability (HA), and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.
Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and apply performance tuning and optimization techniques.
Ensure security, integrity, and availability of databases.
Collaborate with application developers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to support database requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve database incidents, replication issues, and migration challenges .
Create and maintain database documentation, processes, and standard operating procedures .
7+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA .
Proven experience in SQL Server migrations (on-prem to cloud, cloud-to-cloud, or version upgrades).
Strong knowledge of SQL Server 2016/2019/2022 .
Proficiency in T-SQL scripting, stored procedures, and automation .
Hands-on experience with Always On Availability Groups, replication, and clustering .
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, or GCP Cloud SQL) preferred.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
