Florissant Animal Hospital, a long-established, community-trusted practice just outside St. Louis, is seeking a  Veterinarian to join our team. If you’re looking for a place where you can  grow clinically, help shape a team, and potentially step into leadership , this is a unique opportunity to do it all in an  AAHA-accredited hospital supported by a  new, collaborative management team .

We welcome both early-career DVMs seeking mentorship and experienced veterinarians with fresh ideas and energy.

Caseload & Clinical Opportunity

• Our doctors are  booked out by nearly two months , so you’ll have a meaningful caseload from day one

• Strong support to develop  new services that resonate with you whether that’s  shelter medicine, rehabilitation, or a specific clinical niche, etc.

Rich, Varied Medicine

• We treat a  diverse range of species , including  dogs, cats, birds, exotics, and pocket pets

• We emphasize  Behavioral Health , managing fear, stress, and anxiety as part of our Fear‑Free care model

• Preventive medicine is a priority: life-stage wellness, parasite control, annual exams, client education

• We also provide  international health certificates for travel or export

Hospital Features

• 6 exam rooms , including a dedicated  comfort/quiet room with its own exit

• Surgical suite with two tables and full monitoring equipment

• Dental suite with two tables and digital dental radiography

• In-house  ultrasound

• Upgraded treatment area and well-maintained equipment

• Large  fenced-in outdoor space for nervous or reactive pets

• AAHA-accredited and fully  Fear-Free in design

• Ongoing partnership with a  boarded surgeon and a  boarded internist for advanced care

Schedule & Work-Life Balance

• Flexible scheduling options. We’re open to building a plan that works for you!

• 4-day work week, part-time, or customized arrangement

• Every other Saturday (8–1)

• No on-call or after-hours responsibilities

NVA Support & Career Development

• Access to the  PetOne Training Center : hands-on clinical workshops, wet labs, and advanced skills training

• Structured  Mentorship Program : onboarding, case reviews, ongoing CE, and a dedicated mentor
